The term "Solitaire" refers to a concentration game that one plays by himself, with cards, tiles or other objects. In other words, there are many more Solitaire games besides the one that is included in Windows, with different layouts and rules. If you have mastered the well known Solitaire and you want a new challenge, SolSuite is exactly what you are looking for. It includes 562 Solitaire games and you can play them on a modern interface, with neatly designed decks.

Installing SolSuite on a Windows powered computer does not take long. The procedure is simple and fast, so you can start playing right away. The games collection is not free, but you can play a trial version for 30 days, with a few restrictions.

Playing cards are displayed on a relaxing green background, which is almost identical to the standard Solitaire from Windows 7 or Vista. You can choose from many other backgrounds if you want to, but the most interesting part is when you select a deck. There are more than 80 neatly drawn card sets to choose from and over 300 card backs. It is also possible to create and save one or more players, with their own names and portraits, so everyone may keep track of their own scores separately.

You will notice SolSuite's central feature when you select a new game. You can browse through 94 pages, each with 6 different games. If you are looking for a specific game, you may type its name in a search box to locate it instantly. Each Solitaire game has its own rules and no one is capable of keeping track of so many sets of rules. The good news is that SolSuite provides separate help files for each game. Additionally, you can select a few options in the Hints menu and see legal moves or start a demo and let SolSuite show you how to play the selected game.

It is also possible to play in multi-player mode, with two or three users, on the same interface. Users can play with their own profiles and the game will tell them when it is their turn. Solitaire games can be added and organized on favorites lists. Furthermore, you can generate various statistics, like high scores, won or lost games and more.

Pros

SolSuite includes over 500 Solitaire games and a huge amount of deck designs. You can play by yourself or with other users, mark games as favorites and view detailed statistics for each player. SolSuite provides detailed help files for each game, as well as illustrated demonstrations.

Cons

You can not play a demo or see legal moves in all games. If Solitaire is no longer entertaining, SolSuite can provide you with many new challenges.
